What to include in your message

For a correction, identify the page and the exact wording or image detail that appears wrong. A short explanation of what you believe it should say is more useful than a general complaint that a cartoon is unclear. If the issue concerns a transcript, distinguish a line spoken by a character from the description of the scene. This helps preserve both the joke and an accurate account for readers using the text.

For a rights or attribution concern, explain which material is involved and your connection to it. Link to the original source where possible. Please do not send confidential contracts, identity documents or other sensitive records in an initial message. The first step is to identify the issue and the appropriate way to discuss it, not to publish private evidence in a social-media conversation.

For reuse or licensing, describe the proposed use: a presentation, an article, a printed product or another setting. Include the cartoon or editorial URL, whether the use is commercial, and whether you intend to reproduce the complete work or adapt it. A clear request makes it easier to understand which rights and format are relevant. Sending a request does not itself grant permission; the Terms of Service explain the distinction between sharing a link and reproducing the work.

For a new cartoon, the Suggest a Cartoon page is the place to submit a workplace situation for consideration. Focus on the phrase, decision or contradiction that makes the idea recognizable. Use fictional people and leave out private names, customer information and workplace secrets. If your message is simply feedback about the site, include the affected page and describe what you expected to happen. No response time or publication outcome is promised, but a precise description gives the publisher something concrete to assess.
